Immersive Art

In our residence we continue to bet on innovative cultural activities, and recently we enjoyed a unique experience thanks to virtual reality technology. We participated in the immersive exhibition “La Torre de la Parada, a pictorial space for Rubens”, where residents were able to enter a reconstruction of this historic 17th-century hunting lodge, which belonged to King Philip IV and housed one of the most important painting collections of its time.
The following day, we continued the experience with an activity in which they learned more about some of the works seen during the virtual visit. Over the next few months, we will be recreating several of these paintings, working in groups, with creativity and great enthusiasm.
An original and stimulating way to approach art, which will allow us to learn, enjoy and share.
This innovative project was developed by the Museum of Fine Arts of A Coruña together with the VideaLAB group of the University of A Coruña, responsible for recreating the building and its impressive decoration.
